Every passenger no matter what kind of airfare they’ve bought, receive complimentary snacks, water, tea and coffee. Guests can also purchase a variety of soft drinks and alcohol when the bar opens at 11am. Need to log on? Wi-Fi is complimentary for Business Class passengers and available to buy in the main cabin from $6.50. Rex’s 737 WiFi network streams a selection of free movies and TV shows, along with inflight information and weather, which passengers can view on their own smartphones, tablets or laptops. Need a bit of legroom when you fly? Travellers can buy ‘Rextra Legroom’ seats on both regional and domestic flights. Sustainability Commitment |
Pioneering electric-powered aircraft Rex will start flight trials using an electric engine in one of its 34-seat Saab 340s in 2024. The aircraft will be retrofitted with an electric and hydrogen-powered MagniX engine and tested on short regional flights. Electric aircraft are said to be 30-40% quieter than turbine powered aircraft and up to 40% cheaper to operate. Sustainable in-flight catering Rex Business Class features locally sourced ingredients and wine, as well as recyclable yet stylish packaging. Even the dining tray is recyclable which is a global first! Learn more here. The airline has partnered with Do-Good-Labs to source the savoury snacks served in the main cabin. Do-Good-Labs is a Brisbane-based organisation that produces a range of tasty snacks and donates 50% of its profits to charities working to help communities and people in need. |
