With so much of today’s news dedicated to covering the darker side of COVID-19, here at Corporate Traveller we want to shine a light on the good news stories out there. We’ve received wonderful feedback from our customers on how our people are working around the clock to get their employees home safe to their loved ones, so here’s just a taste of that good news flavour!
This week we are profiling Corporate Traveller Account Manager Luke Kealy.
Luke Kealy – Account Manager, Corporate Traveller
How long have you been working at Corporate Traveller?
I’ve been part of the Corporate Traveller team for four years and with the Flight Centre Travel Group for 11 years.
What sets Corporate Traveller apart from the rest?
At Corporate Traveller we are more than work colleagues - we are a big extended family. Egos are left at the door and every person has the ability to shine. You can talk to anyone in the business regardless of title. Corporate Traveller is focussed on ensuring that everyone comes to work with a smile on their face, which translates into the exceptional service we offer our clients.
What do you like best about your role?
Connecting with clients and building relationships. The best part is being able to help them in not just good times but tough times as well.
"Can i quickly take this opportunity to thank you, and the rest of the Corporate Traveller team for the excellent work your doing and professionalism during these difficult times." - Jason Lander, Vice President - Asia Pacific Business Unit at S&C Electric Company
Tell us about your customer
My customer is Jason Lander, Vice President Asia Pac, S&C Electric Australia. His company has been with Corporate Traveller for four years now, and I have had the honour of looking after their account for three and a half years. The entire team at S&C Electric Australia are wonderful people. They have a genuine care in all of us at Corporate Traveller and invite us into their office like we are part of their team. It’s a true partnership.
When they began with Corporate Traveller they were relatively small operation and together we have seen them grow in leaps and bounds. Being there to assist them and grow together has been a great achievement for both businesses. We pride ourselves as being S&C’s trusted advisors and solutions focussed so that we can assist and navigate through all situations. The foundation of our relationship is built on trust and that’s what makes this partnership strong.
So what went down during COVID-19?
When COVID-19 started to escalate I kept Jason and the team up-to-date with all the latest travel developments. As this was a rapidly and evolving situation where details were changing hourly I made sure that the lines of communication were always open and clear. Along with the Travel Manager Jeannine, we ensured that all their upcoming travel had a solid plan around it and we were all clear on what was needed to get done to ensure safe travel and duty of care for their employees.
So after you’re done helping customers out of a travel crisis, what keeps you busy?
I have been married to my amazing wife for eight years this month. My wife is also a FCTG family member and has been for 16 years and yes we did work in the same Flight Centre store! We have two ‘fur’ children, Marlo and Lenny. Every Saturday I am at the golf course which is a great stress release for me (and also my wife). We love going out to eat at nice restaurants and both have a passion for travelling. I am an avid AFL fan and go for the mighty St Kilda Football Club!
